The Mobile Food Bank offered through the Canadian Red Cross delivers food and personal care items to people who are not able to access their local walk-in food banks. A two-to-three-day emergency supply of food is provided for clients who do not have sufficient income to stretch their food budgets. The Mobile Food Bank provides delivery of Food Bank Hampers to those who cannot access a walk in Food Bank and have no other supports within their household to help them. However, this program does not have the ability, nor the capacity, to cater to individual diets, special needs or requests for certain food items.
