Service Details
Description:
Hearing screenings are provided for infants under the age of 2 months (but ideally UNDER 1 MONTH of age) with the goal of identifying permanent hearing loss as early as possible. Early detection and intervention is critical for a child's language development.
If a child does not pass the screening, additional testing is available to determine whether a permanent hearing loss exists. If so, follow-up support is provided to connect families to resources that will help maximize their child's communication abilities.
