Description:

Well-being and integration activities for seniors from an Iranian cultural/linguistic background. Provides clients with opportunities for social interaction, celebration of cultural events and development of resource networks including the provision of information on health, exercise, and well-being. May include culturally appropriate snack or meal. Transportation is provided where available.



NOTE: as a result of pandemic, program runs virtually (Zoom) and No in person programs are being held.

Cost to Client:
Free virtually. In-person programs $5-$20. Special events max $25.
Eligibility Criteria
Criteria:
  • Client is 55 or older or living with an age-related condition and is an immigrant or newcomer to Canada.
  • Client can independently tend to personal needs. Individuals using wheelchairs are independent with self-care and transportation.
  • Client does not exhibit wondering behaviour and does not have significant physical or cognitive impairments (will be assessed to determine eligibility).
