Description:
A Community Support Service providing social and recreational activities over the phone. Clients will participate in small group activities with other participants.
This service brings the community to the client when health or age limit their ability to attend in-person social or recreation programs in community settings. WOW Social has developed over the Covid-19 Pandemic to reach those who are isolated, lonely and seeking connection with their peers.

Criteria:
Seniors or adults 18+ who are unable to attend community based social recreational programs in person due to health, transportation, financial or other barriers, are on the wait list for Adult Day Program or a volunteer visitor in the Friendly Visiting program, or who are isolated and lonely due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
WOW Virtual l is open to all individuals near or far whether living independently in the community or in a care setting such as Retirement Communities, Long Term Care and even hospital settings.
Individuals need access to the internet if they wish to join with video display using ZOOM conferencing software but may also join with audio only using a phone (long distance fees may apply when connecting by phone)
