Our bereavement support groups provide information, skills, knowledge and coping strategies to help you through your grieving process. They are a safe place for grieving people to talk about their loss, share their story, and learn from others.
Group members find comfort in sharing with other caring people who are also grieving the loss of a loved one.
Facilitators will guide this process as well as present educational information for discussion about the grieving process, survival tips and ways to move forward.
Whether you’ve experienced the death of a parent, a spouse or other loved one, our compassionate and trained volunteers can help you and your family through the grieving process.
Each group will have a maximum of 10 participants and meet once a week for 8 weeks at the VON office or other convenient location.
*Programming for complicated loss, loss off children and youth are referred to professional services.
