Waterloo Wellington HCCSS Spiritual Care Providers are available to patients receiving in-home and residential hospice palliative care services and their families.
Spiritual Care Providers offer support through all phases of palliative and end-of-life care. They offer a compassionate presence to help individuals:
• Find meaning and hope
• Face anxieties and fears
• Express feelings in their own way
• Connect with spiritual resources, including local faith communities and wellness programs
• Participate in reflection, prayers or rituals
• Be supported while thinking through healthcare decisions
WWHCCSS’s Spiritual Care Providers have completed specialized clinical training through the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC) and are members of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).
