The musculoskeletal program helps people living in the community to achieve their highest possible degree of independence by assessing and treating musculoskeletal and joint dysfunction. Such dysfunction can result from surgery (such as joint replacement, soft tissue reconstruction, and amputations) or occur after a cast is removed from a healed bone fracture.
Most people come to us after being discharged from acute care facilities, in-patient rehabilitation centers and fracture clinics. Our team also provides assessments and recommendations for those who have sustained repetitive strain injuries, degenerative or inflammatory conditions and other chronic pain syndromes.
We also provide physiotherapy services for people at high risk of falls due to impaired balance caused by neurological, orthopaedic, or arthritic conditions.
